Scots learning activities

Children tend to have a large vocabulary of Scots words which they are rarely asked to use in school. Learning about the language through lively games, songs and activities is the best way to introduce Scots to a class.

And there are many opportunities for teachers to incorporate Scots language as part of their Active Schools programme.

Here are the pupils of Nethermains Primary in Denny and Dunearn Primary in Kirkcaldy to show us how it’s done.
